Backround
We were tasked to create a case portraying the murderer of Carleton Comet and all evidence that we can use to obtain the warrant. On a cool night, close to the campus of San Marin high school, a group of individuals, Nancy Normal, Theresa Terra, Glen Glee, Fred Flimmer, Sam Sophomore, attended a dinner with the victim. At around 7:35 pm Carleton Comet was murdered, and it is our job to find who did it. Through a series of investigations, DNA, and background checks, we can eliminate suspects, as well as look into others as the potential murderer.

Concepts (chronologically)
Fingerprinting: using fingerprinting powder to make fingerprints visible and comparable by ridges, size, and shapes. (ex. Loop, Arch, and Whorl).
Pedigree: Chart that shows us history, deaths, diseases, and possible motives for the suspects and their families
Agarose Gel: Gel specialized to test and run DNA through electrophoresis.
Electrophoresis: Uses electricity to pull DNA through the gel. DNA has it's own unique bands.
DNA fingerprinting: Running DNA in a gel so it can be compared with other samples (Compared by bands and colors).
Karyotyping: Digital cut-outs of Chromosomes to form a set for each suspect. We can use this to find chromosomal diseases and compare to the crime scene.
Ink Chromatography: Different ink contains many chemicals and colors, and chromatography utilizes ethyl to separate these ingredients, which the final outcome can be compared to other inks and pens. To find which pen the murderer used we compared the retention factor of the finished inks.

Reflection
This project was interesting, and by all means interactive and innovative. We used our group problem solving skills to create a fake case regarding a made-up case. If we took this literally it was lots of fun and mirrored real world events and activities. My group worked together well, but absence and work balance tipped the scale for a "balance of work," regarding our group.
Cons:
My group was disorganized and group members such as myself and Ben worked on everything, while other members did minimal amounts of work. This may be due to other group members being absent at the time, or just not engaging themselves in the activities. Also, this led to half my group doing all the work because all other members disengaged themselves from the project.
Pros:
This project was enjoyable, and it gave me time to work on my own team working skills along with growing my work ethic, and communication skills. Overall this project was a complete success and our case was strong to present to the jury.
